About Elliot
Elliot Stein is an experienced public policy leader, having worked across Australia and internationally. He has served at the highest levels of government, the not-for-profit sector and international development.
He has been published in Capital Brief, the Lowy Interpreter, the Mandarin, News Ltd and Energy News Bulletin. He has co-authored a peer reviewed article for the Australian Journal of Public Administration.
Elliot has previously served as Chief of Staff to Cabinet Ministers in the Federal, NSW and Queensland Governments; was Director of Public Diplomacy to the Australian Consulate-General in New York; and was Director of Government Relations for UNICEF Australia. He is a Partner at York Park Group and has worked as National Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications at St Vincent's Health Australia and as a strategic communications consultant in the United States.
Elliot holds a Masters in Public Policy and Governance, and has held positions as a Fellow of the McKell Institute and a Strategic Adviser to the Susan McKinnon Foundation. He has post-graduate qualifications in Climate Policy at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University.
